MatchboxDAO, a blockchain game developer community, completes $7.5 million in financing

According to The Block, MatchboxDAO, a chain game developer community based on StarkNet, completed a $7.5 million seed round of financing at a valuation of $50 million. Participating investors include StarkWare, Geometry Research, ReadyPlayerDAO, Neon DAO, Delphi Ventures, Lemniscap, Fabric Ventures, Road Capital, Formless Gamma and Bonfire Union, individual investors include Matt Slater, founder of Stateless Ventures, and Larry Cermak, vice president of research at The Block, among others. MatchboxDAO will focus on the development of Matchbox Spark, which will serve as an incubator for the project, providing guidance and funding to game development teams, and Matchbox Studios, which will include games and a set of tools to accelerate game development.
