Cryptocurrency financial services firm Blockchain.com will suspend operations at its London-based asset management unit, citing the crypto winter, Bloomberg reported. The asset management subsidiary, Blockchain.com Asset Management, applied to be struck off the U.K. company register on Monday. Blockchain.com Asset Management is launching in April 2022 in partnership with Altis Partners. Blockchain.com said in January that it planned to lay off about 28 percent of its workforce, or about 110 employees. Blockchain.com also laid off about 150 employees last year following the collapse of Three Arrows Capital.
