According to News1, South Korea’s parliamentary affairs committee convened a bill subcommittee to put 18 bills related to virtual assets on the agenda. The Crypto Assets User Protection Act, newly proposed by Democratic legislators, was added to the 17 existing bills pending in the National Assembly. Currently pending bills include 10 bills related to virtual assets, 4 amendments to the Electronic Financial Transactions Act, 2 amendments to the Special Financial Transactions Act, 1 amendment to the Financial Services Commission Establishment Act, and the recently proposed Crypto Assets User Protection Act.
