Odaily Planet Daily News BlockFi tweeted that the opinion collection period for BlockFi's Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan has now begun. During this period, all eligible creditors will have the opportunity to vote on their plans.
BlockF believes that the program is the fastest way for customers to obtain maximum compensation and encourages all eligible creditors to vote for the program. Eligible creditors can vote on the plan through the Kroll website until 16:00 ET on September 11.
As previously reported, BlockFi Inc. and certain of its affiliates announced that their disclosure statement was conditionally approved by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey on August 2, with the recommendation of the Official Committee of BlockFi and Unsecured Creditors that all parties entitled to vote There should be a vote to accept the plan by September 11, 2023, which will bring fair and value-maximizing conclusions to these Chapter 11 cases and return customer funds as soon as possible.
BlockFi's eligible creditors have the opportunity to vote in favor of the plan and will receive BlockFi's disclosure statement and plan, detailed voting instructions, and other important information; BlockFi creditors not entitled to vote on the plan will receive a letter explaining their non-voting status information.
