Report: Sweden and Canada Lead in Crypto ETP Sector

Odaily Planet Daily News According to a report released by CoinGecko on Wednesday, Sweden and Canada are leading the field of cryptocurrency ETPs. Data as of September 11 show that the largest crypto ETPs are Sweden's XBT Provider's Bitcoin Tracker One (COINXBT) and Ethereum Tracker One (COINETH), with assets under management of approximately US$4.4 billion and US$2.6 billion respectively, far ahead. The third-ranked Brazilian Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index Fund (with assets under management of nearly US$1.1 billion). The ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BITO) launched in the United States in October 2021 has an asset management scale of US$915 million, ranking fourth; while Canada's Purpose Bitcoin ETF ranks fifth with an asset management scale of US$819 million. CoinGecko data shows that 6 of the top 25 ETPs in the world are from Canada. It is reported that the cryptocurrency ETP rankings compiled by CoinGecko include 9 ETFs, 5 exchange-traded notes (ETNs), 8 exchange-traded commodities (ETCs), 2 closed-end funds and 1 investment trust.
