Celsius creditors vote in favor of restructuring plan: return $2 billion in BTC and ETH, distribute NewCo equity

Odaily Planet Daily News The majority of Celsius's creditors have voted in favor of a restructuring plan and received the support of the official committee of unsecured creditors. It is reported that the plan will return approximately $2 billion worth of BTC and ETH to creditors and distribute equity in a new company (NewCo). Documents show that more than 98% of creditors voted in favor of the plan. The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York will hear the case and give final approval at a hearing on October 2 (the deadline to vote on the plan is September 22). The creditors committee added that NewCo will be managed by Fahrenheit Group. Fahrenheit Group is a consortium that won the bid to acquire the assets of Celsius in May this year. (The Block)
