U.S. prosecutors have accused SBF of leaking the writings of ex-girlfriend Caroline Ellison to the media in order to discredit her as a potential witness in a criminal fraud trial, Bloomberg reported. "By selectively sharing certain private documents with The New York Times, defendant sought to discredit witnesses, create a bad impression of Ellison, and advance his defense through the media and outside the constraints of the courtroom and the rules of evidence," prosecutors said in a letter to U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan, asking the judge to issue an order limiting "extrajudicial statements by parties and witnesses that could interfere with a fair trial by an impartial jury." Foresight News noted that the New York Times published the article "Inside the Private Works of FTX Star Witness Caroline Ellison" yesterday, citing Caroline Ellison's account in Google documents and personal diaries.
