Odaily Planet Daily News The British regulatory agency Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has added 143 encryption trading platforms to the warning list.
The list is of unauthorized companies that customers “should avoid” and includes major exchanges such as HTX and KuCoin.
In the UK, companies that are allowed to “carry out crypto asset activities” must register with the FCA or be granted temporary operating status. The FCA revealed that since 2020, it has received 291 registration applications and approved 38 of them, accounting for about 13%.
As of now, the FCA’s list of registered crypto asset providers includes 42 entities, such as Bitstamp, Revolut, and Gemini, among others. (cointelegraph)
