Mining company Cipher Mining has pre-ordered the 1.2 EH/s Antminer S21 and acquired a new mine for US$7 million.

Mining company Cipher Mining has pre-ordered the 1.2 EH/s Bitmain Antminer S21 at a purchase price of $14/TH/s. Delivery is scheduled to begin in January 2024 and will follow similar payment arrangements to Iris Energy and Clean Spark. Some of these payments will be deferred until one year after the last batch of mining machines is delivered. Cipher also signed a purchase agreement to acquire a new mining site in Texas at a cost of $7 million, payable in newly issued common shares. The site is expected to be operational by 2025 and has a potential power capacity of up to 300 MW. (The Miner Mag)
