According to previous news, the team behind the scam service provider Inferno Drainer stated in the Telegram group on November 26 that it would be permanently closed. It is reported that Inferno Drainer provides users with phishing tools and takes a 20% commission from the funds stolen by users. According to analysis by Web3 anti-fraud platform Scam Sniffer, Inferno Drainer has stolen nearly $70 million in funds since February, with more than 100,000 victims. However, the Inferno Drainer team says the amount stolen exceeds $80 million. Blockchain security company CertiK said that Inferno Drainer was one of the most damaging phishing kits to the community, and although it has been shut down, there are still a large number of other service providers active, including competitors Pink Drainer and Angel Drainer, The latter released an update on November 25 to help users steal victims’ wallet funds on more chains.
