The U.S. National Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has contracted digital asset data and analytics provider Inca Digital to conduct research on the national security risks of cryptocurrencies, CoinDesk reported. Inca will develop a crypto ecosystem mapping tool to analyze crypto financial data and risks, with the aim of helping the U.S. government and the private sector understand how cryptocurrencies are linked to money laundering, terrorist financing, and sanctions evasion, and to determine how cryptocurrencies affect traditional finance system.
