Bitcoin Core developer Luke Dashjr posted on the X platform that Ordinals is just a scam.
According to yesterday’s news, Bitcoin Core client developer Luke Dashjr posted on the Following the additional data size limit when forwarding or mining transactions. Inscription circumvents this limit by obscuring its data into program code. This vulnerability was recently fixed in Bitcoin Knots V25.1. Since late last year my workflow was affected There was a severe disruption (V24 was skipped entirely) and the fix took longer than usual. Bitcoin Core is still vulnerable in the upcoming V26 release. I can only hope that it will be finally fixed before next year’s V27.”
In response to netizens’ comments, Luke Dashjr said that after the vulnerability is fixed, it means that Ordinals and BRC-20 will no longer exist.
Some netizens asked: "If the inscription wants to continue to exist, a more environmentally friendly way is to create an 'inscription chain', similar to Ethereum's Layer 2. This chain only needs to submit hashroot to Bitcoin (network) regularly to run. ,Is it right?"
Luke Dashjr replied: "Yes, this idea works. Then it does not even need to have a block size limit at all, each node can set its own limit value (or no limit)."
