According to The Block, the bZx protocol operating organization Ooki DAO has begun discussions within the community on how to respond to the recent lawsuit filed by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) against the DAO, one of which involved the distribution of treasury funds to legal counsel of DAO members . The Ooki community is also considering the idea of raising additional funds for possible legal challenges to the CFTC lawsuit, with one funding avenue being to submit a grant proposal on Gitcoin, and NFTs were identified as another possible funding avenue. Foresight News previously reported that the US CFTC imposed a civil fine of $250,000 on the original control team of the bZx protocol and filed a lawsuit against Ooki DAO. The CFTC lawsuit alleges that Ooki DAO, an unincorporated association involved in illegal activities, operated an unlicensed exchange called bZx.
