Atomics Protocol posted on the X platform early this morning that in order to solve the instability and speed problems of the current indexer, the team has created a patch to solve it. In testing, processing decentralized forging (DFT) was approximately 20 times faster.
The root cause is that the number of DFT mints recently exceeded 500,000, which exposed the bottleneck. The solution is to add a cache that only checks the database once per block instead of once per DFT casting.
As part of the investigation, the team also streamlined logging and eliminated other inefficiencies. Please note that the above improvements are not live yet, the team is waiting for some confirmation that the indexes are consistent and all indexes are 100% correct before merging them into one version, which officials say they hope to complete within a day.
