Gemini founder donates $4.9 million to Fairshake, a PAC supporting crypto politicians

Fairshake, a U.S. super political action committee (Super PAC) that supports crypto politicians, raised $4.9 million from Gemini co-founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, according to new federal filings. (Bloomberg) As previously reported on February 1, Fairshake has raised $85 million to date, with Coinbase and its Brian Armstrong contributing nearly a third of the funding. Political action committee spokesman Josh Vlasto said he has personally donated $1 million to Fairshake, Coinbase has donated $24.5 million, and Fairshake has also received $20 million from venture capital Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). Other donors include a donation of $2,000. Ripple, which donated $500,000, and venture capital institution Electric Capital, which donated $500,000.
