The U.S. government is seeking to modify CZ's bail conditions to require him to disclose his travel plans. "The initial bail conditions were based on the expectation that Zhao (CZ) would reside in the (UAE) and they did not address matters such as the custody of his passport and notification of pretrial services regarding his status," it wrote in a filing on Friday. Issues such as travel plans and accommodation.”
The U.S. government wants CZ and his defense team to inform the government of his travel plans, although CZ's team opposed the change, saying CZ's ability to travel across the U.S. has not yet been an issue. However, the government is concerned that he will go to the U.S.-Canada border.
As part of the previous modification order, CZ was also required to surrender her Canadian passport to a third-party custodian and was prohibited from applying for or receiving a new passport. (Blockworks)
