In its latest report, blockchain data platform DappRadar outlines how it counts "active users" interacting with dApps, including Metaverse platform Decentraland, CoinDesk reported. According to DappRadar, the number of unique active wallets (UAW), the number of transactions, and the transaction volume across dApps will be tracked when counting, which means that users need to conduct blockchain transactions to be included in the statistics. DappRadar generally does not track any dApp activity outside of the blockchain ecosystem, which may lead to discrepancies between its statistics and the dApp's own statistics. The Decentraland team is currently updating their smart contract listings and therefore recalculating their metrics. The news follows a report from CoinDesk showing that Decentraland had just 38 active users over the past 24 hours last Friday. Decentraland questioned this data, arguing that "active users" refer to "people who entered Decentraland and left the initial area", and the average daily active users counted by its platform reached 8,000. Currently, Decentraland is working with DappRadar to improve its data tracking.
