Charles Hoskinson refutes doubts and mentions two major upgrades of Cardano

Crypto KOL Ben Armstrong (BitBoy) recently released a video saying that he was thinking about whether Cardano was "dead". He compared Cardano with Solana, Sui (SUI) and Toncoin (TON), the latter of which have "grown by leaps and bounds" and "performed well" in terms of users, activities and price movements, while Cardano's data is "not ideal". Faced with fierce criticism of its native token and ecosystem, Cardano co-founder Charles Hoskinson is closely watching two major upgrades to the Cardano network, at least one of which is scheduled to be implemented this year. "As an ecosystem, we hold all the trump cards, we have the best scalability, governance and innovation path. We also have the best community," Hoskinson said, adding that this is a response to "all the criticism of Cardano". The upcoming Chang hard fork is one of the most important hard forks of the Cardano network since the 2022 Vasil upgrade, scheduled for the second quarter of this year. Chang is the first hard fork in the Voltaire era of the Cardano roadmap and will introduce the concept of community governance to the blockchain by enabling on-chain community consensus and allowing holders to vote on proposals using tokens. This is seen as a key step towards making the network fully decentralized through the introduction of community governance. Over the rest of the year, the transition phase will see the introduction of Representatives of Delegates (DReps), the Cardano Constitution Assembly event, and a Cardano community vote to approve the first draft of the Cardano Constitution. “Ouroboros Leios is the biggest step forward in solving the blockchain trilemma,” Hoskinson added. Ouroboros Leios is a new version of the Proof of Stake consensus model that aims to increase Cardano’s throughput, scalability, and transaction speeds while maintaining current levels of decentralization.
