According to official news, Gitcoin announced that the Gitcoin Grants 20 (GG20) donation is now open, and as of 7:59 on May 8, a total of more than $1.4 million in matching funds have been provided. GG20 will run on Arbitrum.
It is reported that the $1 million matching pool has been allocated to the Gitcoin Open Source Software (OSS) program, which has four dedicated OSS rounds, including $100,000 in Hackathon Alumni matching funds, $300,000 in dApps & Apps matching funds, $300,000 in developer tools and libraries matching funds, and $300,000 in Web3 matching funds. In addition, there are five community rounds, including $100,000 in ENS matching funds, $300,000 in climate solutions matching funds, $41,000 in Open Civics matching funds, $35,000 in Hypercerts ecosystem matching funds, and $50,000 in Token Engineering Commons matching funds.
It is worth mentioning that GG20 uses Gitcoin Passport to prevent witch attacks automatically, without the need to collect stamps.
