Crypto hedge fund Edge Capital with little public information has raised $66.78 million across two funds focused on decentralized finance (DeFi), CoinDesk reported. According to a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on October 19, Edge DeFi Fund LP has raised about $28 million from eight investors since it started selling on February 1 this year. The sale of the fund lasted for more than a year. Another Cayman Islands-based Edge DeFi offshore fund has sold about $38.6 million to six investors since it opened for sale in early October 2021. The company is likely planning to raise further capital for both funds, as they have not set any limits for targeted financing. The company was founded in early 2020 by Vadim Khramov and is headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida. Before joining Edge Capital, Khramov was active in several TradFi firms, including a macro hedge fund and Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London, according to LinkedIn.
