U.S. stocks opened sharply lower on Monday, with Republican presidential candidate Trump describing the severe losses in U.S. stock indexes as the "Kamala Crash." Kamala refers to Kamala Harris, the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party in the 2024 presidential election. On social media Truth Social, Trump also insisted in another post that he would not cause such an impact, writing in capital letters: "TRUMP CASH VS KAMALA CRASH!"
