K33 Research: SUI may soon become Solana's top competitor

Analysts at K33 Research speculated in a Sept. 18 research note that Solana may be the top L1 network behind Ethereum right now, but the Sui network could eventually rival it. David Zimmerman, DeFi analyst at K33, said Sui’s performance relative to Solana, combined with its architecture and upcoming console release, could make it a top contender among “alternative L1s.” “Solana has often competed for attention in the L1 wars, but SOL/ETH is up 6% since August, while SUI/SOL is up 115% over the same period,” Zimmerman said. While he acknowledged that much of Sui’s recent outperformance could be attributed to broader “mispricing,” he said Sui “certainly” has the right ingredients to support recent price gains.
