Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said in an email to Bloomberg recently: "AI-based positions, especially in the field of filmmaking, have unique advantages that align with Tether's vision of innovation and efficiency, from scale to speed and cost are a few examples."
Artificial intelligence is a "key area of focus" for Tether, and "organizations must adapt to this changing reality and reflect it in the types of positions they seek to recruit," Ardoino said, but he declined to provide more details about the final product.
Ardoino said that Tether's staffing is relatively lean and has recruited 30 employees focused on designing and building its AI platform in the past few months. According to online recruitment information, the company plans to recruit filmmakers in the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, Brazil, Argentina and Colombia. It was previously reported that the company plans to double its total number of employees to 200 by mid-2025.
Ardoino said in an interview in December last year that the company is expected to achieve more than $10 billion in profits by the end of 2024. It is worth mentioning that the company does not publish audited financial results.
Earlier news, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino posted on the X platform that he will give a speech at the Italian AI Week event in May to introduce Tether's artificial intelligence strategy with financial freedom as the core, which focuses on open source, peer-to-peer technology and privacy protection.
Ardoino said that he will reveal the true status of disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, brain-computer interfaces, and explore some future scenarios that have been covered up due to "good intentions".
