US SEC: Acting Enforcement Director Sanjay Wadhwa and Public Affairs Director Scott Schneider resign

Odaily Planet Daily News According to official news, the U.S. SEC announced that Scott Schneider, director of Genlser's Office of Public Affairs (OPA), and Sanjay Wadhwa, acting director of the Enforcement Division, are about to leave. It is reported that Sanjay Wadhwa has served in the SEC for 21 years and has served as the acting director of the Enforcement Division since October 2024. Prior to this, he served as the deputy director of the department since August 2021. During his tenure, Wadhwa oversaw the filing of more than 2,600 enforcement actions, ultimately ordering the recovery of more than $20 billion in illegal gains, pre-judgment interest and civil penalties, and returning billions of dollars to victimized investors. Scott Schneider served as the chief communications advisor to the chairman of Gensler, and as director of OPA, led the committee's external communications strategy, media relations, rulemaking and enforcement communications, digital strategy, SEC.gov updates, and internal communications.
