Odaily Planet Daily News From January 17 to 19, the University of Ottawa's annual hackathon "UOttaHack 7" was officially launched in Ottawa, Canada, and project submission was opened on the DoraHacks.io platform. The offline hackathon lasted for 36 hours, and student developers from more than 50 universities in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Waterloo and other places gathered at the University of Ottawa to start hackathon team building and project development.
This hackathon is open to project submissions in multiple tracks such as AI, Web3, data analysis, operating system, UI/UX design, etc., with a total prize pool of nearly US$30,000. More than 3,000 people registered for the event, and 800 people were finally selected to participate in the offline hackathon. UOttaHack is the largest and most influential student hackathon in the Ottawa area. It has been successfully held for 6 sessions so far, and plans to expand to other overseas universities this year.
