Goldman Sachs: Bank of Japan may raise interest rates twice a year

Odaily Planet Daily News: Akira Otani of Goldman Sachs said in a research report that considering the Bank of Japan's rate hike decision last Friday and the speech of Governor Kazuo Ueda, Goldman Sachs maintained its base scenario forecast that the Bank of Japan will continue to raise interest rates twice a year. Otani said that the next rate hike by the Bank of Japan should be in July. Otani said: "Given the moderate increase in underlying inflation and the distance to the sustainable achievement of the 2% inflation target, we expect two rate hikes per year."
