Odaily Planet Daily News Computer scientist and blockchain expert Chen Jing has left the United States and joined Tsinghua University as a full-time professor. According to the Digital Library of the China Computer Society, Chen Jing is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University and a recipient of the National Overseas High-level Talent Program. His main research directions are blockchain, smart contracts, computational game theory and mechanism design. He was the chief scientist and director of theoretical research at blockchain technology company Algorand, and an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at Stony Brook University, State University of New York. In 2016, he won the National Science Foundation Career Achievement Award (NSF CAREER Award).
