According to PANews, Canadian technology company Matador has announced an acquisition of 3.38 BTC for 500,000 CAD (approximately 347,022 USD), with an average purchase price of 102,703 USD per Bitcoin. Following this acquisition, Matador now holds approximately 64.69 Bitcoins and plans to purchase an additional 350,000 USD worth of Bitcoin in the near future.
In addition to its Bitcoin holdings, Matador has disclosed that it possesses around 2.3 million CAD in cash reserves and 2 kilograms of physical gold, valued at approximately 264,000 CAD. The company has revealed plans to integrate the tangible value of physical gold with Bitcoin blockchain technology, aiming to launch a digital gold product in the first quarter of 2025.
