CryptoQuant CEO: Meme coin may evolve into a digital consensus system with social value

Odaily Planet Daily News CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju posted on the X platform that although he is not a Meme coin fan, he believes it has potential value. He compares crypto exchanges to channels for Internet capital to flow into social spiritual energy, but currently Meme coins mainly have negative effects and have led to industry leaders such as crypto exchanges being blamed. He further pointed out that the current Meme coin phenomenon is similar to primitive collective consciousness, and these communities operate in a similar way to shared belief systems, which may develop from "shamanic movements" to more structured belief systems. Ki Young Ju believes that harmful Meme communities should be rejected, while Meme cultures that promote positive spiritual energy can be supported. Although Meme coins have limited value at this stage, in the long run, Meme coins with practical uses and mature systems may appear. He envisions that in the future, religious organizations, charities, and non-governmental organizations may issue Meme coins with social value to provide new social and economic models for Internet communities.
