Japanese crypto exchange Coincheck's revenue in Q4 of last year increased 75% month-on-month to US$782 million

Odaily Planet Daily News According to the Q4 financial report (the company's third fiscal quarter) released by Japanese crypto exchange Coincheck last year, revenue for the quarter jumped to $782 million, up 75% from the previous quarter ($447 million). Despite strong revenue growth and a 72% increase in customer assets, the exchange still reported a net loss of $98.1 million, mainly due to $751 million in sales and other administrative expenses. Gary Simanson, CEO of Coincheck's parent company Coincheck Group (headquartered in Amsterdam), attributed the strong earnings report to the "successful merger" with blank check company Thunder Bridge Capital in December last year. After the merger was completed on December 11, Coincheck's common stock and warrants began trading on the Nasdaq exchange in the United States, with the stock codes CNCK and CNCKW, respectively.
