According to Foresight News, a recent report by Wen Wei Po reveals that Tether is the most favored cryptocurrency among Hong Kong's over-the-counter (OTC) crypto exchanges. The investigation found that approximately half of these exchanges allow cash to be converted into cryptocurrencies without requiring real-name registration. Currently, these exchanges are not obligated to submit transaction reports to law enforcement agencies. A staff member from a shop participating in Know Your Customer (KYC) certification stated that personal information registration is only necessary for cash purchases of cryptocurrencies amounting to 120,000 Hong Kong dollars or more.
