According to Odaily, Aptos Research Director Alexander Spiegelman recently expressed confusion on X about why Monad is allegedly spending significant time replicating Aptos's technology. Spiegelman noted that Aptos's technology is open-source and supported by numerous peer-reviewed papers, suggesting that Monad should openly adopt it instead of concealing their efforts.
In response, Monad Co-Founder James Hunsaker stated, "I was studying software transactional memory (STM) in a Haskell environment long before you were out of diapers. BlockSTM is a simple extension of these concepts. I have never looked at any Aptos code, and frankly, I wouldn't have thought of Aptos if you hadn't posted this nonsense."
