New MicroStrategy CEO: Supports Michael Saylor's Decision to Keep Bitcoin on Company's Balance Sheet

According to CoinDesk, MicroStrategy's new CEO, Phong Le, expressed support for former CEO Michael Saylor's decision to keep Bitcoin on the company's balance sheet. Before buying Bitcoin for the first time in August 2020, the company considered buying government bonds, corporate bonds , gold, commodities, real estate and even art. He said the bitcoin strategy boosted its stock and trading volume, and helped MicroStrategy transform from a mere "dead software company." The company now owns more than 129,000 bitcoins, worth nearly $3 billion at the current price of $23,000. Foresight News previously reported that MicroStrategy announced the separation of the chairman and CEO roles, appointing company president Phuong Le to replace Michael Saylor as CEO, and Saylor will continue to serve as chairman of the company's board of directors.
