Odaily Planet Daily News: U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent appointed Galaxy Digital's regulatory adviser Tyler Williams as a digital asset and blockchain technology policy adviser. Williams is currently the head of regulatory affairs at Galaxy Digital and teaches part-time at the George Washington University Law School. He served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Digital Assets from 2018 to 2020, and has worked in the offices of U.S. Senator Thom Tillis and Representatives Robert Hurt and John Boehner. In addition, U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order this month requiring the Treasury and Commerce Departments to create a sovereign wealth fund, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
