According to PANews, David Sacks recently addressed accusations on the X platform that business leaders enter government roles for personal gain, labeling such claims as "lazy and foolish." Sacks argued that joining government service often requires individuals to relinquish their business interests, significantly impacting their careers.
He questioned how long-serving U.S. officials have managed to amass substantial wealth, specifically mentioning Nancy Pelosi's notable stock-picking skills, a former USAID head becoming a multimillionaire, and the wealth of areas surrounding Washington, D.C., as some of the richest in the nation.
Sacks asserted that all billionaires he knows who have entered politics have done so out of love for the country. He emphasized that the real issue lies within the government's internal corruption, calling for a need to "drain the swamp" to address this apparent systemic problem.
