Odaily Planet Daily News Binance founder CZ admitted in an interview with Rug Radio that his four-month experience in the United States was "extremely difficult" and "terrifying", and said that he "would not want anyone to go through that." However, this experience also made him realize the importance of health and family.
He recalled that when he first entered prison, he felt strong uneasiness and fear when facing the tattooed, noisy, big prisoners. His cellmate was sentenced to 30 years for double murder, but the two got along well. Because he is not a US citizen, he cannot enter the minimum security prison and was sent to a low-security facility.
Although he is the founder of Binance and has a billionaire fortune, his fellow prisoners did not treat him specially. CZ said that many of his cellmates are very friendly and he still keeps in touch with several of them.
For him, the most difficult thing is the mental pressure-worrying that the sentence will be suddenly extended. He pointed out that many friends in prison have suffered a similar fate.
This experience made him re-evaluate his life. “Health is the most important, followed by family, work and other things.” CZ also revealed that he will publish a new book to detail this period of imprisonment. (Decrypt)
