Sony has unveiled its latest Metaverse invention, a wearable motion tracking system called Mocopi. Comprising six color sensors, the new product uses proprietary technology and a smartphone app to allow users to create videos of their avatars using full-body movements. A promotional video released by Sony demonstrating the technology shows a user attaching sensors to his body to create an anime-style avatar dancing. Pre-order sales for Sony's new product are set to begin in mid-December, priced at 49,500 yen (about $358). A software development kit for linking motion data to Metaverse services will also be available starting December 15.
