Odaily Planet Daily News: Trump recently criticized Federal Reserve Chairman Powell again on his social platform Truth, saying that he should decisively cut interest rates by one to two basis points to save the United States up to $1 trillion in spending each year. He said that he had tried to promote interest rate cuts in the past through moderate, neutral and tough methods, but none of them worked. Trump also said, "Don't use the risk of future inflation as an excuse. There is no inflation at all now. Even if it does appear in the future, it will be too late to raise interest rates." He criticized Powell as a "complete idiot" and said he might reconsider whether to replace him, but emphasized that Powell's term is about to end and there is no need to rush.
