The United States and the United Kingdom plan to collaborate more closely on cryptocurrency regulation. Reports indicate that UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent discussed the collaboration during a meeting on Tuesday. Representatives from Bank of America, Barclays, Circle, Citigroup, Coinbase, and Ripple also attended the meeting. Cassie Craddock, Managing Director of Ripple UK and Europe, stated that the collaboration "has the potential to set a new precedent for international collaboration in our industry, with the UK poised to become a leading hub for digital assets and innovation. Strengthened international collaboration between the UK and the US will further unlock the economic potential of blockchain technology in both countries." (Financial Times)
