IDChat, a Web 3 application with fully on-chain data, held a text and image launch event today on the Bitcoin mainnet, with all information imprinted on Bitcoin in real time. Over 2,000 people viewed the event through the IDChat app. IDChat doesn't require a phone number or email address to register; users can access directly using their public key, eliminating the risk of data collection and misuse by the platform at the source. Unlike most Web 3 social applications, IDChat's messages and social connections are truly on-chain and verifiable, rather than relying on off-chain servers for centralized storage. All messages on IDChat are end-to-end encrypted, and only the communicating parties can decrypt them, preventing any external nodes or development team from snooping. This makes IDChat inherently censorship-resistant, truly safeguarding user privacy and data sovereignty. This application marks the expansion of Bitcoin from a financial ledger to a social application layer.
