Polygon said it launched a zkEVM security audit earlier this month, conducted by security firms Spearbit and Hexens, and is expected to run until January 2023. This audit will focus on verifying the correctness and robustness of zkEVM, where correctness means that honest entities can generate and verify state transitions, and robustness means that dishonest entities cannot generate state transitions that are actively verified. In October, Polygon launched the Polygon zkEVM public testnet, which provides developers and users with an "EVM-equivalent" solution, high-performance zk proofs (zk-proofs) and Ethereum mainnet-level security.
