The Monad Foundation announced that the airdrop will distribute tokens to 5,500 members of the Monad community and nearly 225,000 members of the broader crypto community. Users are advised to be wary of fake airdrop claiming websites, which may be scams attempting to steal your credentials. Furthermore, the airdrop claim period will last until November 3rd, so users can proceed with caution without having to wait for a claim. The MON airdrop will target heavy users of major mainnet blockchains, primarily those in the following categories: 1. DEX traders, including those on Hyperliquid and Phantom Wallet (spot and perpetual contracts), as well as traders of tokens launched on Pump.fun, Virtuals, and other memecoins. 2. DeFi protocols, including Aave, Euler, Morpho, Pendle, Lighter, Curve, PancakeSwap, and Uniswap. 3. Long-term NFT owner, including Azuki, Chimpers, CryptoPunks, Doodles, Fluffle, Hypurr, Mad Lads, Meebits, Milady Maker, Moonbirds, Pudgy Penguins, Redacted Remilio Babies, Sappy Seals, Solana Monkey Business, and Wassies. 4. Recently active participant in the DAO governance of major DeFi protocols on Ethereum.
