He cited numerous achievements, including the stock market "multiple record highs," "virtually no inflation," and "unparalleled national security." Trump emphasized that tariffs are key to successful negotiations, such as the recent negotiations with China and many other countries, enabling the United States to reach "fair and sustainable agreements." He warned that if the president cannot use tariff powers "quickly and flexibly," the nation could be "devastated." He claimed that opponents include "foreign countries that have taken advantage of us for years," "those who hate our country," and "Democrats," because the "numbers" are "too good to beat." Trump also stated that he will not go to court on Wednesday to avoid "distracting people from the importance of this decision."
