Pantera Fund's Performance Raises Concerns Amid Bitcoin's Growth

According to PANews, Akshat Vaidya, co-founder and investment director at Maelstrom, a family office led by Arthur Hayes, recently shared his investment experience on X. Vaidya revealed that he invested $100,000 in the Pantera Early-Stage Token Fund LP four years ago, which has now dwindled to $56,000. He attributed this decline to Pantera's management fees of 3% and a performance fee of 30%. Despite Bitcoin's value doubling and several seed-stage projects surging by 20 to 75 times during this period, the fund's fees have significantly reduced the capital for limited partners. Vaidya expressed concern over the fund's performance, noting that losing 50% of investment capital in any cycle is considered a poor outcome.
