Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of Singapore and decentralized AI infrastructure company Zero Gravity (0G) announced a joint investment of S$5 million to establish a Decentralized AI Technology Research Centre. The centre aims to promote blockchain-based AI innovation and create more transparent, secure, and verifiable AI systems. This marks 0G's first collaboration with a global university, with research areas including decentralized AI training, blockchain integration model alignment, and Proof-of-Work (PoUW) consensus mechanisms. The research centre will support developers, institutions, and the community in verification and auditing through an open ecosystem, driving AI from a closed to an open and transparent model. The four-year project includes workshops, hackathons, student scholarships, and open-source projects, with the first proof-of-concept results expected within two years, applied in fields such as finance, healthcare, and smart infrastructure. Previously, 0G secured over US$325 million in funding commitments, including a US$40 million seed round led by Hack VC. (chainwire)
