Drift Protocol, a decentralized exchange (DEX) for perpetual contracts, has released the latest tokenomics for its governance token, DRIFT. As of November 2025, 55.6% of the total supply has entered circulation, and all major investors' lock-up periods (cliffs) have ended. Drift Protocol is preparing to launch Drift v3, the next generation of its perpetual contracts, focusing on speed and performance. Simultaneously, the community is engaged in governance discussions exploring proposals to use protocol surplus to buy back DRIFT tokens.
