A report released by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) on the 19th stated that the global artificial intelligence (AI) market is projected to reach $4.8 trillion by 2033, significantly increasing its share among cutting-edge technologies and becoming the most dominant key technology area. In contrast, the market share of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, electric vehicles, and solar photovoltaics has seen relatively limited changes. The report also warned that the rapid development of AI is concentrated in a few major economies and large enterprises, potentially exacerbating the development imbalance between countries and businesses. It called for strategic investment and more inclusive global governance mechanisms to promote the wider sharing of the benefits of AI development. (CCTV)
