The bullish Bitcoin forecast for 2025 has fallen short of expectations. As of the end of 2025, Bitcoin was trading at approximately $88,000, a decrease of about 6% year-to-date. The performance of major institutional forecasts is as follows: BlackRock CEO Larry Fink stated in January that if large investors allocated to Bitcoin, its price could reach $700,000. Bernstein predicted Bitcoin would reach $200,000 by the end of 2025 or early 2026. Standard Chartered initially set a year-end target of $200,000; although Bitcoin peaked at $126,000 in October, it subsequently declined, and the bank has since lowered its target to $100,000. Bitwise repeatedly predicted Bitcoin would break $200,000 in 2025. Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee previously predicted Bitcoin could reach $200,000 to $250,000 this year, but recently revised his prediction to a return to above $100,000 by the end of December. Cathie Wood, CEO of ARK Investment Management, lowered her 2030 bullish forecast for Bitcoin to $1.2 million from $1.5 million (WSJ).
