1. About cold wallets
I have written some articles about cold wallets in detail. There are also many similar articles in the online media. You can search for them.
2. Which cold wallets support Merlin chain?
As far as I know, I haven't heard of any special cold wallet products that support Merlin chain.
But in fact, we can make a wallet that is close to "cold" by ourselves.
A very key feature of cold wallets is that they can be disconnected from the Internet.
For ordinary users, a very simple way is to use a safe computer, install the wallet software, and disconnect the computer from the Internet. It can be considered a wallet that is close to "cold".
This wallet should not be connected to the Internet unless it is absolutely necessary (for example, it must be transferred to the outside). Even if it is connected to the Internet, try not to open any website, and only open the wallet to transfer money.
3. Can CKB be used as a fixed investment target?
So far, except for the coins I have invested in, I have not invested in other coins, and I will not invest in them for the time being. So I will not invest in CKB.
I suggest that you should be cautious when choosing an investment object.
4. If you have idle funds, is there a better configuration?
I think it is not cost-effective to buy anything now.
Let's talk about Bitcoin and Ethereum. My investment prices for these two are $35,000 and $2,500. Now they have exceeded $60,000 and $3,300. Judging from my investment price, I can't buy them at this price now.
Although many other coins are not expensive, and some are even relatively low, I think it is difficult to judge their future potential, so even if the price is not high, I think it is not easy to buy.
I also have idle funds on hand now, and I haven't bought anything except buying some ORDI some time ago.
In the past, when my fixed investment prices in Bitcoin and Ethereum were exceeded, I would use some idle funds to participate when I encountered new projects that I particularly liked, but now I haven’t found any new projects that I particularly like.
Just leave the funds idle. It is definitely better not to use them than to use them indiscriminately.
If investors really can’t stand it and feel uncomfortable not to use their idle funds, then I can only say that if they can’t stand it, just buy Bitcoin and Ethereum, and try to avoid other things.
5. Bitcoin and Ethereum have always accounted for 60% of my positions. Is this premise that the remaining 40% of the positions have always maintained the same increase or decrease as the 60% positions? What if the 40% positions have increased? What if the 40% positions have decreased?
The proportions I mentioned in the article are calculated based on the initial investment.
For example, when I decided to invest in the bear market, if I had $10,000, I would use at least $6,000 of it to invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum, and the remaining $4,000 or less would be used to buy other coins.
After buying these coins, as long as there are no major problems with their teams and projects, I will not care whether their prices rise or fall, and I will keep them in my hands until I think I need to cash out in the bull market.
6. How about XXX coins?
This is a question that many readers often ask in their comments. I have never heard of many of these coins, or even if I have heard of them, I know very little about them and cannot judge their potential value and prospects.
My time, energy and funds are very limited, and coupled with my very obvious ecological bias, I mainly focus on Ethereum infrastructure (mainnet, second-layer expansion, some side chains, various extensions to Ethereum functions), coins in Ethereum ecological applications, and some well-known projects in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
I don’t pay much attention to coins outside the Ethereum ecosystem (except AR) and airdrop coins in the Bitcoin ecosystem. I have some of these coins, but they are purely for personal gain. I basically don’t track their development, and it is even more difficult to judge their potential value. I just hold them and wait for the bull market to cash them out.
