To thank those who have laid a solid foundation for the entire ecosystem and those who have helped Avail get to where it is today, Avail announced that it will launch the Unification Drop unified airdrop of 6AVAIL.
The Unification Drop is a unifying force that brings communities together to reward developers, governance contributors, technology evangelists, rollup users, stakers, and other valuable contributors from multiple blockchain communities.
Technical limitations make it difficult for different ecosystems to communicate with each other and leverage each other's core strengths. Progress in one ecosystem does not always translate to progress in another ecosystem, but with Avail's unification layer, this becomes possible.
Since 2020, Avail has been developing unprecedented solutions to the data availability problem to solve the inevitable challenges of rollup scaling.
Avail DA uses KZG commitments and Data Availability Sampling for exponential rollup scaling, implementing the same solution specified by the Ethereum Danksharding roadmap. However, solving the rollup scaling problem requires first solving the rollup interoperability problem.
Leveraging the unique features of Avail DA, Avail Nexus provides a permissionless coordination hub that abstracts cross-chain complexity from end users, enabling developers to provide users with a bridge-free cross-chain experience. With Nexus, comprehensive multi-step transactions with a smooth user experience are possible.
It is important that the unified layer is very secure. Avail Fusion expands re-staking, merging multiple assets such as ETH, BTC and other assets to provide strong unified security.
Avail's utility token AVIAL is the native utility token of the Avail network, supporting the unification of Avail DA, Nexus and Fusion, and web3. It is used to obtain Avail DA services, ensure the security of the unified layer through staking, and participate in governance.
Avail is providing innovative core rollup infrastructure to the entire community. Avail started as Polygon Labs and later became a full-fledged independent entity led by former Polygon co-founder Anurag Arjun and research head Prabal Banerjee. When deciding the eligibility criteria for the Unification Drop, we wanted to reward those who have made valuable contributions to the ecosystem and who take the construction of core blockchain infrastructure as seriously as we do. In this process, we put a lot of effort to ensure that the airdrop will ultimately reflect these core values:

High Quality - How do these efforts contribute to the development of the ecosystem?

In addition, we have implemented Sybil detection methods to identify and prevent hacker attacks.
AVAIL DA will be launched on the mainnet soon, and a total of 354,605 wallet addresses will be eligible for the AVAIL airdrop; an additional 10,000 wallets will be eligible to receive Avail OG NFTs.

Developers across the blockchain ecosystem have been working for years to build and expand public blockchains and improve the degree of decentralized coordination for people around the world. They have helped drive the development of technology, and without the contributions of these developers, the pioneering work that the Avail team has done to drive further development would not have been possible.
The unification of Web3 requires unification at the most basic level. This includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, Avalanche, Near, etc., all of which have made unique contributions to the blockchain ecosystem.
To thank the thousands of blockchain ecosystem developers who have made important contributions, AVAIL is now available to qualified addresses of Github accounts that have contributed to the open source libraries of the projects in the figure below.

Through intensive testing, Avail's performance has been strengthened, and Clash of Nodes provides the perfect battlefield for this. More than 87,000 accounts contributed to the Goldberg testnet, which processed more than 118 million transactions. During the testing phase alone, Avail DA provided sufficient data to meet almost all L2 needs in 2023 (140 GB).
When it comes to the mainnet, performance and reliability are key to providing the best infrastructure. To reward those who run the most reliable infrastructure, build high-performance rollups, and submit large amounts of data to Avail DA, AVAIL is being distributed to eligible addresses. Clash of Nodes participants can now verify their claims based on their position on the leaderboard.
During the challenge, participants in the Light Client Lift-off also tested Avail's light client network with nearly 1 million light clients. 50,000 of the best performing light client operators were randomly selected and issued AVAIL rewards. Avail OG NFTs were also distributed to another 10,000 best performing light client operators, weighted by uptime, which will be the foundation for building an NFT community on Avail.
Rollup operators on the incentivized testnets of the Dymension and Madara ecosystems are eligible for rewards. Thousands of developers create rollups in these ecosystems and earn points on the Clash of Nodes leaderboard. If you have created a Dymension RollApp or Madara AppChain, be sure to check your eligibility.
Rollups are an incredible way to unlock scalability for the entire ecosystem, but without active users, these rollups will not be able to demonstrate their impact on the world.

To show our appreciation for the users who have helped the rollup ecosystem grow to this point, AVAIL is now available to eligible wallets on Arbitrum One, OP Mainnet, Polygon zkEVM, Starknet, and zkSync era.
With the help of OpenBlock Labs, a lot of work has been done to identify and troubleshoot Sybil attacks and Sybil-associated wallets. This includes activities such as analyzing first funding transactions, asset transfer graphs, community detection algorithms, identification of Sybil structures, and statistical analysis of wallet groups within the community.
